Diversity Means......

The theme for the Reflections Contest was, "Diversity Means....."
What a difficult theme for all the little bunnies! Bunnie Em and Bunnie B each entered a photograph.

Each the Bunnies recieved an "Award of Merit" (otherwise known as 2nd place)..... Bunnie B was thrilled with Medal, it spins and has his name engraved. Bunnie Em's Medal is simpler but she also recieved a Maverik gift card.  She was pretty happy too! Bunnie Em found my camera and erased the picture that I had of her all by herself, so her she is, pictured with 2 of her friends that also received "Award of Merit" in the category of Visual Arts:)
I am so proud of my Bunnies! They go up against some tough competition each year, and each year do well. Guess they got that "well done" gene from Papa Hare and Mama Hare:)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was a little different..... Joe and I decided to have our own at our own home.  The Bunnies were a tad bit disappointed, but it worked out GREAT!  Of course, with just the 4 of us, I didn't go completely all out, but the fixing's were there and we all left stuffed.

On our Wedding Day, my dear friend, Cynthia, created us a "time capsule" and left us with instructions to open it on our 10th Anniversary.  Well...... I spent our Anniversary at a Scout meeting..... So, I decided to open it on our 10th Thanksgiving together.  It was AWESOME!  She had placed notes that Joe and I had written to one another in this "capsule" along with a flower from my bouquet, rose Joe had given me, pieces from the food served, that day's paper (including the ads!!!), a few other things pertaining from that blessed day.  I created a questionnaire and each of us filled it out and placed it into the "capsule"  for us to see in another 10 years:)  It was simple, yet fun.  And the best part was we were together.

After dinner, we hopped in the truck and went looking for deer..... And we found 3 nice bucks chasing does around in Meadow and about 35 head of Elk!  We didn't get pictures.... But got them all on Video:)

The next evening, we traveled to Salt Lake to visit Joe's family. And on Saturday had a big meal with several of his family members.  It was nice to see them all and get re-acquainted.
Joe and his Prime Rib:)

Bunny Em took this photo while we were viewing the Elk herd:)

The Sister's getting ready to eat:)

Everyone sitting down for the Yummy food:)

The Family that "ate" together:)

The photogragher that refused to get in the photo.... Got her anyway!  Love ya, Aunt Connie:)

Aunt Bobbie Jo, Mom Donna, and cousin Larry:)

It was a good Thanksgiving for us this year, as every year is.  We are getting older and wiser and a lot busier!  I hope that where ever you spent the Hoilday, that it was filled with love, respect, and grace:)

Halloween Fun Faire:)

Halloween begin for us when Bunny B planted his pumpkin seeds!  He was able to grow 9 + 2 wonderful Orange and White pumpkins!  But I must say the Orange are much easier to carve!!
Bunny Em did a great job carving her scary face, Mine is the BOO, and Joe took on a Spider,,,, B wasn't feeling well, so he chose a design and I carved it for him.  It was so easy after I had just carved a white pumpkin on my own!
I WON tickets.... I know, ME WON!  Anyway, I had won 4 tickets to ride the Haunted Heber Valley Railroad.  We arrived in Provo Canyon in our warm coats prepared for scary:)  However, it was more fun than scary!  They had ghosts and zombies run through the railroad cars.... Bunny B's face was priceless as a "Ghost" sat down from across us.  He looked out the window, looked back and the "Ghost" was gone!  It was great!  If your in that area for Halloween, I suggest a little scary train ride, it was short, but enjoyable!
Bunny Em chose to become a "Dragonfly"  for this hallowed day....  She was all glitterly and colorful:)
For Trick-Or-Treat, she decided that the Air Force was the way to go.  Thanks to my cuz, Ryan, for the outfit!  Both Bunnies LOVE it!
After searching for costumes, Bunny B saw this one and was done!  He LOVES Ghostbusters!  And was super-duper excited to be a Ghostbuster for Halloween!  And I think he made being a Ghostbuster look good:)
Here are all the Trick-Or-Treaters!  A very scary bunch, if ya ask me!  We went to the Trunk-Or-Treat before beginning on the door to door begging for vandy quest.  When Bunny B's pumpkin was full, it was time to call it quits.  All in all, they had a great Halloween.  Bunny Em with her friends, and Bunny B with his cousins.  Between everything, we nearly passed out 150 glow sticks and candy!   The best part was the weather was PERFECT!  Happy Halloween!

A Bunch of Hare's....

As we were visiting some of the Hare family this past weekend, Joe's sister thought it would be a great idea to snap a few photos.  I must agree.  There family has NEVER had family pictures before, which I, being the photo freakzoid, find astounding!  But I have NEVER seen any so it must be true..... So here's a few of the pictures that we managed to get:)  And for a spur-of-the-moment-idea, I think they turned out pretty well:)

Our Deer Hunting Adventures.....

Wow!  This Deer Hunt has been interesting!  Day 1, 2, & 3 were extremely dusty and dry!!!  As we moved into Day 4, the rain finally came:)  And today, is Day 5.... SNOW!  Here are a few pictures of the past few days we have unsuccessfully hunted for a Buck....
Us at Robin's Pond, which is kinda above Scipio Lake in Robins Valley.  This was my first time to the pond and I wish that there were still leaves on the trees.  It was beautiful!
My Bro decided to walk down a draw and we were to walk up it to see if he could push any deer our direction.... Well, it didn't work so well but we all got our hiking in done for the day!  It was pretty though, with all the fallen leaves covering the ground. This is Shingle Mill.
Beautiful Leaves everywhere!
The Boys found a tree that had been recently rubbed by a Elk.  Poor tree:( But it was a neat find....
They kept telling me how dirty I was.... So I had to take a picture to see!  There are no mirrrors up there....
Day 3 of hunting.... My Men.  Bunny B was so funny. As soon as we sat down, he looked around and declared, "No deer, here. Let's go home."  He doesn't have any patience!  However, when asked if he wanted ot attend school or go hunting the next day, he said, "Hunting" and then "I promise to be quiet, this time."  We just had to chuckle:)
Well this was the morning of Day 5!  No more dust! The Bunnies were all bundled up, but I don't think they thought they would see so much snow!
Christmas trees everywhere!  It was hard to see much becuase the fog was so thick...
Aren't these cute, little, hunting Bunnies?  It's a Winter Wonderland:)

Now this is a Beautiful Picture of Winter, taken by my sweet Bunny Em.  She is getting to become a pretty good photographer.
The snow built up around the tires... Lots of snow!
Another beautiful photo by Bunny Em:)  She does take some good ones capturing the beauty all around.  I was a little jealous of their excursion today.  I had to stay home and go to work:(   But the 3 of them had a great time even seeing a herd of Elk.  Bunny Em said the Bull even bugled for her!  They were all happy to hear that!  It was reported that they saw lots of deer.... just no Bucks.  We have definitely covered the mountainside and so far, no luck.  Well there's a few days left.... so we'll see.  But all in all, it has been nice spending time as a family hunting and enjoying nature:)

School Pictures are finally HERE!!!

Bunny Em.... 8th Grade
 Bunny B..... 4th grade
So, so happy to finally get their photos! Their photographer really tested my patience this year, but she did a great job and they turned out WONDERFUL!  I am very pleased:) My Bunnies look adorable:)

The Time Has Come....

The time has come for my most favorite time of year.... DEER HUNT!!!  I am so excited when this time of year rolls around!  I do however, wish my bunnies had the experiences that I grew up with.  Just to share a few.... The Robison clan would all gather at the "Mud Puddle" spot in Fillmore's Canyon.  My dear Uncle Scotty, Aunt Elaine, and their children and their children.  Cousin Stan and all of his children from Delta. Aunt Reva and Uncle Floyd would bring their son and all of his children. And then of course, my Grandpa Phil and ALL of his children and their children!  There would be tons of cousins to play with and lots of Dutch Oven cooking!!!  It seemed that not everyone got their buck, but most did.  It almost didn't even matter, it was a time we were all together and a GREAT FAMILY REUNION, even though technically it wasn't.....  My favorite was that Sunday afternoon.... My Uncle Scotty wouldn't hunt on Sunday, claiming it to be a day of rest.  So he and I would saddle the horses and go for a ride.  Just he and I.  He was always such a great man in my eyes.  He was the man that I turned to when I needed a hug, the man that gave me such confidence!  Uncle Scotty was not only my "Twinner" (I was born on his birthday)  but one my best-est friends.  I sure miss him on this "Holiday" and as I am hunting for my first time this year with my Hubby, I will have a hard time not remembering the great times I have had with my family wearing Orange......

Cross Country Meet @ FMS

Here she comes!!! Em finishing the RACE!
And here she is.... receiving her Ribbon for finishing in 8th place!
Ahhh.... all the TOP 10 8th Grade GIRLS!!!  Aren't they all spectacular?  It was so fun to watch them run this Annual race.  There is such an athletic bunch of bunnies in this age group!  It is a struggle for each of them to be at the top!  They all did great "hopping down the bunny trail".... I cannot wait to see what each of them do in the following years of High School!  It's gonna be such a decision for most to choose between sports!  Including my little Bunny..... Time will tell, and it will be FUN watching the Girls succeed!

Cub Scout Pack Meeting

B is recieving his awards..... Outdoor Activity Badge, Video Game Belt Loop, Wildlife Conservation Belt Loop, & Astromony Pin:)  He did so well and was so excited to recieve more belt loops!  Those are his favorite!
The boys had relay races against the 3 age groups, Wolf, Bear, and Webolo.  B and his cousin were partners.  They did pretty well with the "wheelbarrow" race:)  After many races, we all gathered around and had a hot dog roast, complete with yummy salads and desserts!  We are fortunate to have many, many boys to create fun and chaos:)

B and his PUMPKINS

B picked his pumpkins this week and he came up with 3 good sized Orange ones, and 6 very fun White ones!  He was a little bummed that he didn't have 10.  B planted and grew these, he did amazing!  Now, to figure out what kind of faces they should have......

Spirit Week @ FMS

Crazy Hair Day!!!

These 2 awoke @ 5:30am to make sure that they had lovely crazy hair!  And they did:)  Reminded me of Strawberry Shortcake and friends.....LOL:)

True Blue Millard Day

Em borrowed a former Cheerleader's uniform and a Letterman's Jacket.  She sure had fun trying on all the different Cheer uniforms. Hmmmm.... maybe this bunny will be an Cheering Eagle before too long?

The Bus....

B is getting ready to hop on the School Bus.  I feel so fortunate that the bus stops in front of our house to pick up my children, my 3 nephews, and 2 cute little neighbor girls:)
Em trying to be happy.... It is morning:)
The discussions each day every morning are sometimes interesting most mostly the boys are just teasing each other and seeing who can get the maddest before the bus comes!  Its not very pleasant.... usually. Nothing like 4 "Right" fighters!
 And off they go....
